To get started, you must first register with the California ABC RBS Portal and obtain your RBS Server ID. Once you have your Server ID, return to RBS Certification Fast, enroll in the course, and begin your training. Your Server ID is required so your completed training can be reported correctly to California ABC.

Yes. California requires alcohol servers and managers at qualifying on-premises ABC-licensed establishments to complete RBS certification. New alcohol servers and managers must become certified within 60 calendar days of their first date of employment. Certification requires completing training with an ABC-approved RBS Training Provider and passing the California ABC Alcohol Server Certification Exam.

California RBS Certification is valid for 3 years from the date you become certified. To remain certified, you must complete the RBS certification process again before your current certification expires.

No. RBS Certification Fast is self-paced with no course timers. You can complete the training at your own pace, and your progress is automatically saved so you can leave and return later to continue where you stopped.

RBS Certification Fast accepts major credit and debit cards, as well as PayPal, Cash App, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

Yes. Managers who directly hire, train, or oversee alcohol servers at qualifying California ABC-licensed establishments are required to be RBS certified. Managers must complete the same RBS certification process required for alcohol servers.

After you complete your RBS training, RBS Certification Fast reports your training completion to California ABC. Once your training is confirmed, you can log in to your California ABC RBS Portal account and take the required Alcohol Server Certification Exam. After you pass the ABC exam, your RBS Server dashboard will show your certification status as Certified.
